"A portrait of my children once a week, every week, for a year"

Lili: gazing down at the current love of her life in all his chubby glory
Audrey: caught playing "washerwoman." Seriously, kids, with all the actual laundry in my life right now can't you play "washerwoman" by actually laundering something that needs washing?
Kateri: in heaven now that her sisters are home from school
Isaiah: so fat he's decent

7/52

I dropped the ball last week on my 52 project. Surprise surprise. So I am cheating by raiding our Instagram accounts and using a group shot of the girls. I finally got the backyard pool I've been dreaming of!
As for Isaiah, he got an inflatable footbath from a pedicure set that my aunt gave the girls last year.

"A portrait of my children once a week, every week, for a year"
This week's 52 project is brought to you by the slip n' slide Nona gave Audrey for her birthday

Lili: blending in
Audrey: reveling in her birthday present
Kateri: getting bowled down the slip n' slide by Dad
Isaiah: much prefers the shade...and a cold one apparently

Eight is Great!

We celebrated our lovely Audrey's eighth birthday last Saturday. Oh Audrey, our lives would be so boring without you!

Bowling and Frozen Yogurt with her sisters and Lucy made for a great birthday.

Lili wanted to have her two strikes on record.
Luke wanted to illustrate perfect form.
What do these two chat about so intensely? I need to secretly mic them and find out.
The little man was a trooper, and waited until the car ride home to pass out. I really need to clip his wings...I even got out the scissors a few days ago, but I just couldn't quite steel myself to do it.

"A portrait of my children once a week, every week, for a year"

Lili: Sacagawea
Audrey: up in our tree
Kateri: trying to get her sisters to abandon Phase 10 and play with her instead: "Hey guys, pretend I have a scarlet fever AND a broken leg."
Isaiah: celebrating Daddy's birthday in his little trunks

"A portrait of my children once a week, every week, for one year"

Lili: Trying out her costume for the 5th grade's "living museum." She's been begging me to bring Isaiah in for her to use as a prop. I wonder if the real Sacagawea also made horsey noises to entertain the baby on her back?
Audrey: Bright eyed and ready for school.
Kateri: In heaven with a brand new box of watercolors.
Isaiah: You have to be confident in your masculinity to be that happy in a pink and purple Little Tikes car.
